Job Summary

This PhD position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge virological research focusing on the molecular replication mechanisms and clinical transmission pathways of the Hepatitis E virus (HEV). As a PhD candidate, you will work on establishing and refining innovative cell culture models and bioinformatic analysis approaches to characterize the viral life cycle. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting complex virological experiments, performing computational data analysis, and preparing your findings for scientific presentations and publications. The role is ideal for a dedicated researcher with a background in life sciences or biomedicine who is eager to advance the development of new antiviral strategies. The position is part-time (65%) and fixed-term for three years, starting August 2026.
