The Borchardt Group is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join their research team focused on advancing sustainable, solvent-free synthetic mechanochemistry. In this role, you will independently design and execute experiments, develop innovative ball milling setups for reactive gas integration, and explore new synthetic methodologies bridging mechanochemistry with catalysis and photochemistry. You will be responsible for characterizing complex products using advanced analytical techniques and interpreting experimental datasets. Beyond your research, you will contribute to the academic community by supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s students, presenting findings at conferences, and authoring manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
