Job Summary
As a Senior IT Security Administrator at IT.NRW, you will play a pivotal role in securing the digital infrastructure of North Rhine-Westphalia. Your daily responsibilities include building, operating, and evolving Application Layer Gateway (ALG) infrastructures on Linux, managing and developing proxy solutions, and automating deployments using Ansible. You will provide 2nd-level support, maintain documentation, and collaborate with various departments to ensure the security of state IT systems according to ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz standards. This position is unique because it combines high-level technical security work with a significant societal impact, serving 18 million citizens. Required Skills
Education
Completed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; OR certification as an 'Operative Professional' combined with extensive relevant work experience.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of practical professional experience in IT.
- Professional experience in Linux system administration and network operations.
- Experience in the operation of Proxy and Application Layer Gateway (ALG) solutions.
- Experience with IT security standards and infrastructure automation.
