As an IT Operations Manager for IT.NRW, you will play a vital role in the digitalization of North Rhine-Westphalia's state administration. Based primarily in Düsseldorf, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of complex IT infrastructures and procedures related to official statistics, serving approximately 18 million citizens. Your daily activities involve managing server environments, maintaining security concepts, and overseeing the lifecycle of IT systems. You will act as a key point of contact for infrastructure roll-ins and major changes while ensuring high standards of quality and information security. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Fachhochschule) in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related IT field; alternatively, a qualification as an Operative Professional.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation of IT infrastructures including servers, networks, and databases
- Experience in creating security concepts and operational documentation
- Experience in customer coordination and incident escalation management
- At least six months of relevant professional experience is required for full salary classification (EG 11 TV-L)
- Long-term relevant professional experience in IT can substitute for a formal degree
