Job Summary
As a Senior Elixir Software Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of the BPA platform, which serves as the backbone for digital bicycle refurbishment. Your day-to-day will involve designing, developing, and operating scalable backend and UI components while integrating complex systems. You will be responsible for the entire software lifecycle, from conceptual architecture to deployment and production maintenance. A core part of your role is to ensure code quality, mentor the team, and actively reduce technical debt to maintain a robust, high-performance system. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA teams to drive engineering strategy and foster a culture of technical excellence. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on functional programming, values system design, and is passionate about sustainable mobility. Required Skills
Education
University degree or vocational training in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or comparable, proven practical experience.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in functional programming, event-sourced systems, or CQRS, with initial Elixir experience.
- Alternatively, several years of deep, practical experience specifically with Elixir.
- Professional experience in software architecture, system design, and testing.
- Professional experience in developing and operating productive systems within modern cloud environments.

- Must be eligible to work in Germany. Position requires active collaboration in an office setting, though partial remote work is available.
