Job Summary

The INM-Leibniz Institute for New Materials is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a community-driven initiative focused on Engineered Living Materials (ELMs). In this role, you will analyze regulatory needs and challenges, facilitate expert network coordination, and develop best-practice guidelines for safe and sustainable ELM innovation. You will engage with academic, industrial, and regulatory stakeholders to create decision-making frameworks and outreach strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of regulatory science at the interface of materials science and synthetic biology within a collaborative, international research environment. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Regulatory Affairs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical science, biomedical materials, or microbiology; or a university degree in natural, engineering, or life sciences.

Experience

  • PhD in Regulatory Affairs, biomedical materials, pharmaceutical science, or microbiology
  • Professional experience in regulatory affairs within industry or regulatory agencies
  • Experience in the clinical translation of cell therapies
  • Experience in interdisciplinary research and network coordination
