Job Summary

As a System Integration Engineer for Substation Automation, you will play a pivotal role in the high-voltage power grid, acting as the technical bridge between system operations and infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities include the technical integration, parameterization, and implementation of substation control and automation systems, alongside the simulation and testing of prototypes. You will manage test environments, evaluate new technologies, and ensure the long-term stability and interoperability of complex secondary technical systems. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of high-voltage grid technology by developing technical standards and contributing to commissioning, operational concepts, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including grid operations and external service providers, while providing technical expertise for tenders and industry standardization committees. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a comparable field (alternatively, a certified technician with relevant professional experience).

Experience

  • Professional experience in substation automation, protection technology, or secondary technology.
  • Experience in the technical integration of complex energy facilities or substations.
  • Experience in the evaluation of new technologies and implementation of prototype testing.
  • Experience in project work, pilot projects, or technical committee participation.
