Job Summary
As a Senior FRMCS Application Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the modernization of railway telecommunications infrastructure at DB InfraGO AG. Your primary responsibility involves managing the lifecycle of applications and services for the FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) platform. You will lead the migration strategy from legacy GSM-R and analog technologies to modern FRMCS standards, ensuring high availability, performance, and IT security. Your day-to-day work includes defining technical requirements, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, overseeing pilot projects, and establishing acceptance procedures for new service deployments. This position is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in telecommunications and railway operations who enjoys interdisciplinary conceptual work. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of railway connectivity, working within a collaborative team environment that values strategic thinking and effective stakeholder management.
Required Skills
Education
University degree or technical college degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field. Alternatively, extensive long-term professional experience in the relevant sector.
