Job Summary
As a Senior Project Manager for the BEMU (Battery Electric Multiple Unit) Network Allgäu, you will lead complex infrastructure projects aimed at enabling emission-free rail operations in Swabia and Western Upper Bavaria. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance across all HOAI performance phases. Your day-to-day work involves coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing engineering firms, overseeing planning and construction processes, and handling procurement and contract management. You will also serve as a technical mentor to your team, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development. This role is unique as it sits at the intersection of innovative rail technology and critical infrastructure development, requiring a deep understanding of both technical engineering standards and strategic project management. You will work from the Munich office, contributing to the modernization of the German rail network.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management for construction or planning projects within the railway infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in the realization and execution of complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience in technical leadership and mentoring of project team members.
- Proven track record in managing contract and procurement processes according to German standards (VOB, VOL, HOAI).

Additional
- Must possess knowledge of German rail-specific regulations (VVBau, EIGV, AEG, EKrG). Ability to work from the Munich office location.
