Job Summary

As an IT System Administrator & Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in the IT department of the Episcopal Ordinariate, serving as a central service provider for all staff. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing and developing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user devices. You will ensure stable operations through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and 1st to 3rd-level support. Furthermore, you will participate in key IT projects such as Microsoft 365 implementations and backup/restore strategy development, while automating routine tasks and maintaining technical documentation. This role is unique as it offers a stable, mission-driven environment within the Catholic Church, providing a balance of technical challenge and social responsibility. You will work in a collaborative team, interacting with both internal staff and external service providers to maintain a secure and efficient IT landscape.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science (Bachelor or Master) or completed IT vocational training with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation and administration of IT systems (servers, networks, storage, backup, operating systems)
  • Professional experience in participating in IT projects
  • Experience in technical documentation
  • Practical experience with Microsoft environments (M365, Windows Server/RDS)
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation
