Job Summary
As a Linux Administrator for the City of Erfurt's Office for Information Technology and Statistics, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the city's critical IT infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of IT systems and application solutions, with a strong focus on Linux/OpenSource environments. You will manage server systems, databases, security components, and monitoring tools, while also providing technical project support and consulting for various administrative departments. A significant part of your role involves managing a large fleet of Linux systems (primarily Debian and Oracle Linux) using automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Git, and Netbox. Required Skills
Education

Experience
- Minimum 4 years of practical experience in Linux networks and/or network security for candidates with advanced IT training.
- Minimum 6 years of practical experience in Linux networks and/or network security for candidates with a completed vocational education.
- Professional experience in data processing.
- Professional experience in IT project management.
