Job Summary

The TUD Dresden University of Technology is seeking a Research Associate to join the Cluster of Excellence 'Responsible Electronics in the Climate Change Era (REC²)'. In this role, you will focus on developing magnetron sputter epitaxy (MSE) processes for group III-nitride semiconductors, specifically targeting sustainable production methods for power electronics. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with scientists across engineering, social sciences, and sustainability fields to assess the environmental impact of these technologies. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or equivalent) in Physics, Material Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in physics, material science, or a related field
  • Experience with magnetron sputtering and thin film growth is beneficial
  • Experience with III-nitride semiconductor materials or devices is advantageous
  • Experience with material characterization or sustainable process engineering is an asset
