Job Summary

Leica Biosystems is seeking an Electrical Technician to support their cancer diagnostics operations in the Munich region, covering Bavaria, Northern Austria, and Baden-Württemberg. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced digital pathology, IHC-ISH, and tissue processing equipment. You will act as a primary technical contact for clinical, research, and pharmaceutical clients, providing on-site system handovers, software updates, and troubleshooting support. Beyond technical maintenance, you will collaborate with the sales department, manage service reporting, and contribute to team KPIs such as NPS and service utilization. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at managing complex technical systems in a high-stakes medical environment. You will be supported by a global network while maintaining a high degree of autonomy in your regional territory, ensuring that critical diagnostic technology remains operational to help improve patient lives.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training (Ausbildung) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Medical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical service role, preferably with medical devices
  • Practical experience in field service environments
  • Proven ability to independently acquire new technical knowledge and master complex systems
  • Experience working with IT infrastructure, including networks and server environments
