Job Summary

The Technical Laboratory Assistant will join the Center for Organoid Systems at the Institute for Diabetes and Organoid Technology to support research on pancreatic organoids. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting cell and molecular biology experiments, managing cell cultures—specifically human stem cells—and performing histological procedures. You will also assist in the management of mouse colonies and in vivo procedures, while maintaining general laboratory operations, including documentation, data management, and procurement. This position is ideal for a motivated professional looking to work in an interdisciplinary, international research environment. You will collaborate closely with scientists to advance research on diabetes and pancreatic cancer. The role requires strong organizational skills, independent work habits, and a high degree of reliability. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience with cell culture methods
  • Professional experience in cell and molecular biological techniques
  • Experience in the management and handling of laboratory animals is considered a plus
