Job Summary

As a Pathology Scientist at Roche Personalized Healthcare Solutions in Penzberg, you will play a pivotal role in advancing companion diagnostics. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve providing medical oversight for pathology and slide reading for clinical trials, assay development, and CE-IVD projects. You will act as a medical representative on multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with experts in bioinformatics, oncology, and digital pathology. A key aspect of the role is serving as a Principal Investigator for European clinical trials, ensuring compliance with global and local regulatory standards. You will also coordinate the work of contracted pathologists, contribute to educational programs, and drive innovation in immunohistochemistry and digital pathology. This position is unique because it offers the opportunity to work within a global network of pathologists across Germany and the U.S., directly influencing the development of life-changing healthcare solutions while maintaining medical accountability for high-impact diagnostic programs.

Required Skills

Education

German board certification in Pathology, valid German medical license.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of clinical or industry experience in pathology
  • Professional experience in immunohistochemistry and interpretation of primary antibodies
  • Professional experience in providing pathology support for project teams and clinical trials
  • Professional experience in leading and coordinating teams in a multidisciplinary environment
