Job Summary
The Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) is seeking a dedicated Press Officer to join their "Press, Internet, Social Networks" department in Berlin. This role involves dynamic daily engagement with the press, including responding to inquiries, drafting press releases, and representing the BMG at the Federal Press Conference. The successful candidate will also prepare for and accompany press events, coordinate with subordinate agencies, and monitor media. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional development at the intersection of politics, science, and administration within a key federal ministry. It is a fixed-term contract for the duration of the 21st legislative period, with potential for permanent employment and civil servant status upon proven performance.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or university diploma in Journalism, Health Communication, Communication Sciences, or Political Sciences

- • Relevant professional experience, preferably as a journalist, is advantageous

- Willingness to work overtime and participate in weekend on-call duty. Must be able to clearly, concisely, and understandably present complex issues. Flexibility, resilience, and strong organizational skills are required. The position is initially fixed-term until May 31, 2029, with potential for permanent employment and civil servant status.
