Job Summary

As a Working Student in the Electrical Construction department at Stromnetz Berlin, you will play a vital role in maintaining and modernizing Berlin's 36,000-kilometer power grid. Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the construction supervision of electrical facilities such as substations and network nodes, coordinating between internal departments and external contractors, and assisting in the review of technical documentation and execution plans. You will also be involved in preparing and following up on site meetings to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards. This role is ideal for students in electrical or energy engineering who are eager to gain hands-on experience in large-scale energy infrastructure projects. The position offers a flexible work environment, structured onboarding, and the chance to contribute to the city's sustainable energy transition, all while balancing your academic commitments.

Required Skills

Education

Current enrollment in a university degree program (Bachelor or Master) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

  • Current enrollment in a degree program for Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (Electrical focus)
  • Foundational knowledge of electrical systems and infrastructure
  • Interest in the practical implementation of energy infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a structured, reliable, and independent manner

Additional

  • Valid driver's license (Class B) is preferred. Must be currently enrolled as a student. Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 to 12 months. Maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester, up to 37 hours per week during semester breaks. Location: Berlin-Wilmersdorf.
