Job Summary

The IPK Gatersleben is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Metabolic Diversity research group, focusing on the genetic and regulatory basis of hordatine biosynthesis in barley. This role involves utilizing large-scale 'digital twin' resources and pan-genomics to dissect metabolic pathways and their role in stress resilience. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing LC-MS untargeted metabolite profiling, conducting Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS), executing pathogen assays to evaluate plant-pathogen interactions, and managing complex datasets. You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of bioinformaticians and biologists to translate findings into high-impact publications.
