Job Summary

As a Scientific Project Coordinator at the IPK Leibniz Institute, you will play a pivotal role in the BMFTR-funded project 'Entering and Shaping New Ground.' Your daily responsibilities include conceptualizing and executing specialized training events for PhD students and Postdocs, focusing on cutting-edge topics such as Genome Editing, Synthetic Biology, and AI in plant research. You will bridge the gap between science and society by facilitating participatory science dialogues and developing educational materials. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in natural sciences or science management who enjoy organizing qualification formats and supporting public relations. Working within an international and interdisciplinary environment, you will help integrate innovative project goals into the institute's graduate education framework. The role offers a 30-hour work week and a 15-month fixed-term contract, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to socially relevant life science topics at a world-renowned research facility.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Natural Sciences, Science Communication, or Science Management.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the organization and implementation of scientific qualification or training formats
  • Experience in scientific project support and intra-institutional implementation
  • Proven track record in science communication or science management
  • Experience in developing teaching materials or reflection formats for researchers

Additional
