Job Summary
The Zwickau District Office is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer for Road and Civil Engineering to join their team in Glauchau. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in evaluating funding applications from municipalities for road construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and providing expert technical opinions. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve planning and preparing civil engineering projects, including drafting project scopes, managing contracts with engineering firms, and securing construction permits. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of civil engineering measures, conduct site meetings, monitor construction progress, and manage project documentation and financial settlements. This position requires a strong background in civil engineering, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to decision-making, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the district's infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diplom FH or Bachelor of Engineering) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Road, Civil, and Underground Construction, or an equivalent qualification. For foreign degrees, comparability and recognition by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) are required.
Experience
- Professional experience in road and civil engineering (desirable)
- Experience in relevant legal areas
- Experience in decision-making related to infrastructure development

- Must possess a valid driving license (PKW-Führerschein) and be willing to use a private car for official duties. For non-EU/EEA/Switzerland applicants, a current residence permit explicitly allowing employment is required. The successful candidate will need to obtain an official certificate of good conduct (Behördenführungszeugnis).
