Job Summary

This PhD position at Bosch Sensortec offers a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of invasive medical micro-pressure sensors. You will be responsible for defining hardware and software architectures, performing system simulations, and conducting experimental validation to bring concepts to a Proof of Concept stage. A key part of your role involves analyzing both technical and medical requirements while coordinating research activities across interdisciplinary teams. Beyond technical development, you will document your findings, publish scientific papers, and represent your research at international conferences. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a background in engineering or physics who is eager to work in an innovative environment with access to state-of-the-art MEMS technology and resources, while collaborating closely with the Bosch site in Reutlingen.

Required Skills

Education

Master of Science (M.Sc.) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Physics, Microsystems Technology, or a related field with excellent academic performance.

Experience

  • Professional experience with sensors (MEMS) and/or medical technology
  • Academic experience in engineering, physics, or microsystems engineering
  • Experience in modeling and simulation within a research or academic context
