Job Summary

The Technical Assistant will provide essential support for experimental research at the Chair of Cell and Tissue Control within the 'Physics of Life' Cluster of Excellence at TU Dresden. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing molecular and cell biological experiments, such as producing recombinant DNA constructs and cultivating mammalian cell lines. Beyond experimental work, the role involves critical laboratory management duties, including ensuring occupational safety, handling procurement, organizing laboratory events and workshops, and training new group members, students, and interns. Candidates must possess formal vocational training as a biological-technical or chemical-technical assistant and have a solid foundation in molecular and cell biology. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a biological-technical assistant (BTA) or chemical-technical assistant (CTA) with state certification, or equivalent biology/chemistry laboratory technician qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a biological-technical assistant (BTA), chemical-technical assistant (CTA), or laboratory technician
  • Professional experience in laboratory organization is desirable
  • Professional experience in a comparable research environment is preferred

Additional
