Job Summary

As a Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IAIS, you will join the 'AI Assurance and Assessments' department to help bridge the gap between scientific research and industrial practice. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research on methods and requirements for trustworthy AI, supporting the evaluation of technical operationalization tools, creating presentations, and contributing to ongoing research projects. This role is ideal for a student looking to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world research environment, focusing on AI governance and quality assurance. You will work alongside a team of data scientists and researchers, gaining practical experience in the evolving field of AI regulation and compliance. Required Skills

Education

Current Master's student in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Enrollment in a Master's degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated academic excellence in current studies
  • Foundational understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence
  • Practical programming experience with Python
  • Prior knowledge or interest in the European AI Act is considered an asset
