As a Unix/Linux System Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the IT infrastructure for the Free State of Bavaria. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the planning, installation, configuration, and administration of Unix/Linux server environments, including SUSE, Ubuntu, and Red Hat distributions. You will be responsible for monitoring system performance, conducting tuning and analysis, and automating operational processes to ensure high availability and efficiency. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Computer Science or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Unix/Linux system administration
  • Experience with server environments including SUSE, Ubuntu, or Red Hat Linux
  • Experience with high-availability cluster operations is highly desirable
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible is highly desirable
