Job Summary

As a Materials Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the material strategy for a global leader in transport technology. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conceptualizing and implementing innovative material strategies for both new equipment and service applications. You will conduct detailed damage analyses to identify root causes, optimize manufacturing processes, and collaborate closely with design teams to select the best materials for electromagnetic and structural components. You will also be responsible for standardizing material specifications in accordance with international industrial standards. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in an interdisciplinary environment and is passionate about technical precision. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in Materials Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in industrial materials engineering
  • Proven expertise in material standards, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working with unalloyed, low-alloy, and stainless steels, as well as copper alloys
  • Ideally, experience with large-scale steel forgings and modern metal joining techniques
