As a Materials Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the lifecycle management of large turbogenerators for an international industrial leader. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing innovative material concepts, conducting failure analyses, and ensuring quality standards across manufacturing and supply chains. You will act as a technical bridge between design, production, and global suppliers, ensuring that material specifications meet international norms. The role requires a strong background in metallurgy, specifically regarding steel and copper alloys, and the ability to perform detailed microstructural and fractographic investigations. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in materials engineering, preferably within an industrial setting
  • Professional experience with metallic materials, specifically unalloyed, low-alloy, stainless steels, and copper alloys
  • Experience with industrial manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and technical standards
  • Experience in failure analysis and root cause investigation
  • Experience with large-scale components, such as forgings
  • Initial experience in project management and working within international teams
