Job Summary

The Emmy-Noether research group at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is seeking a Biological Laboratory Technician to join their team focused on immunology, infection biology, and functional genetics. In this role, you will perform essential laboratory tasks including primary cell cultivation, molecular biological analyses (DNA/RNA purification, PCR, qPCR), and immunological assays such as ELISA and flow cytometry. You will also provide critical support for in vivo experiments, including tissue processing and infection studies conducted under S1/S2 safety conditions. The position requires a structured, meticulous, and independent working style, combined with strong team spirit and reliability. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, interdisciplinary research project within a modern scientific infrastructure at a leading university. The role is offered as a full-time position (part-time is possible) with a contract duration until April 30, 2029, and compensation based on the German public service collective agreement (TV-L).

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Laboratory Technician, Technical Assistant, or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biological laboratory work
  • Experience or interest in working with in vivo models
  • Experience with microbiological work under S1/S2 conditions is preferred
