The Thuringian State Office for Consumer Protection (TLV) is seeking a Food Chemist to join the 'Food of Plant Origin' department in Bad Langensalza. This is a part-time (32 hours/week) parental leave replacement position ending in April 2027. The role involves conducting sensory and chemical analyses of food products—specifically fats, oils, oilseeds, and desserts—using advanced techniques like HPLC and GC-MS. You will interpret results, draft legally defensible expert reports, and develop new testing methods for accreditation. Candidates must hold a university degree in food chemistry and the state examination for food chemists. The position requires a solid understanding of national and European food law, quality assurance practices, and strong communication skills.
