Job Summary

This critical role involves spearheading the establishment of the Swiss Center for Drones and Robotics (CSDR) external site in Payerne and ensuring seamless integration with other armasuisse Science and Technology (S+T) locations. The Scientific Project Manager will lead innovation, research, and experimentation projects primarily focused on security robotics. Key responsibilities include expanding collaboration networks with research and industrial partners, especially across French-speaking Switzerland, and acting as a central interface between various governmental offices and the Swiss Aeropole technology park. Ideal candidates possess a university degree in engineering, coupled with a keen interest in safety protocols, risk management, and the fields of drones and robotics. Success in this dynamic environment requires strong personal initiative, critical thinking, and the ability to engage professionally across multiple languages, including French, German, and English.

Experience

  • Professional experience in setting up new organizational units or external sites.
  • Proven ability to guide research and innovation projects with partners from academia, industry, and government (DDPS).
  • Experience acting as a liaison or interface between diverse organizational units and technology parks.
  • Experience in planning and executing technical tests in collaboration with partners.
