Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly technical university intern to contribute to cutting-edge defense and security projects at armasuisse, the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement. You will be instrumental in developing advanced simulation software, focusing on creating AI-based simulation agents using Python, and integrating simulation applications with international standards using C++. A key part of the role involves virtualizing these applications using Docker. This position is highly attractive due to its hands-on technical nature and the chance to participate actively in a significant international test campaign scheduled for June 2026, which involves 1 to 3 weeks of travel abroad. Candidates should be analytical, possess strong foundational software development skills, and be pursuing or recently completed a degree in a technical or scientific field.

Required Skills

Education

Currently completing or recently graduated (within the last year) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in a technical or scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development using Python and C++.
  • Knowledge or experience in application virtualization (Docker).
  • Desirable experience in the field of gaming or simulation.
  • Willingness to actively participate in an international test campaign (1-3 weeks abroad in June 2026).
