Job Summary

This position at the TU Dresden offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of ultra-thin endoscopes for minimally invasive 3D imaging. As a Research Associate, you will work in an interdisciplinary team to advance digital holography and 2-photon lithography, applying these to fiber-optic imaging guides. Your day-to-day tasks will involve holographic characterization of imaging fibers, manufacturing micro-optics, and validating demonstrators in clinical applications such as dentistry and neurosurgery. You will collaborate closely with the University Hospital Dresden and Leibniz University Hannover, bridging the gap between academic research and industrial product development. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in physics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering who is eager to conduct experimental lab work and contribute to high-impact scientific publications.
