Job Summary

As an Information Security Officer at TU Dresden, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital security landscape of a leading excellence university. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the university-wide information and cybersecurity strategy, managing the Information Security Management System (ISMS), and leading the TUD-CERT team. A key aspect of this role is the integrated collaboration between information security and data protection, requiring you to work closely with the Data Protection Officer. Your daily responsibilities include advising the rectorate, conducting risk assessments, managing IT resilience projects, and coordinating BSI-compliant security measures. You will also lead training and awareness initiatives across diverse university departments. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or a related field with a strong IT focus.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the implementation of complex IT systems with a focus on information security
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying information security standards and legal frameworks
  • Experience in managing IT security infrastructure and security systems
  • Experience in leading projects and coordinating cross-departmental security initiatives
