Job Summary

The Biological Technical Assistant will join a research group focused on the genomics of cereal crops like barley, wheat, and rye. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve performing experimental work in molecular genetics and high-throughput sequencing. You will be responsible for isolating genomic DNA and preparing libraries for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), while maintaining meticulous records in laboratory journals and project databases. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a completed vocational qualification in biology or a related field. You will thrive in this role if you possess a strong sense of organization, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to research tasks. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician, Biological Technical Assistant, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in molecular genetics laboratory work

  • Proven ability to document experimental data accurately
