Job Summary

This position at the TU Dresden offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a DFG-funded research project focused on advancing fiber-bundle-based endoscopy for high-resolution medical imaging. As a Research Associate, PhD Candidate, or Postdoc, you will work on optimizing fiber bundles for lensless endomicroscopy, with applications in biomedical fields such as in vivo brain tumor diagnostics and cochlear implant monitoring. You will utilize cutting-edge technologies, including two-photon 3D printing and laser ablation, to create precise optical structures and enhance photon efficiency. The role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in physics, photonics, or optics who are eager to conduct independent research, publish in high-impact journals, and participate in international scientific exchange. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Physics, Photonics, Optics, or related disciplines.

Experience

  • Academic degree in Physics, Photonics, Optics, or related disciplines
  • Professional experience in optics, specifically fiber, diffractive, and experimental optics
  • Initial experience in laser processing and optical characterization is an advantage
