Job Summary

As a Patent Attorney at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT, you will play a pivotal role in protecting intellectual property within the telecommunications sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications at both national and international levels. You will represent clients before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), conduct patent searches, and provide expert legal opinions on patent rights. Additionally, you will mentor junior staff and patent engineers. The ideal candidate possesses a strong scientific background in electrical engineering, information technology, physics, or telecommunications, combined with proven expertise in patent law. Required Skills

Education

Qualified Patent Attorney (German and/or European Patent Office); Academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or Telecommunications.

  • Professional experience as a qualified Patent Attorney before the German and/or European Patent Office
  • Proven background in electrical engineering, information technology, physics, or telecommunications
  • Experience in handling patent infringement cases
  • Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff or patent engineers
