Job Summary

This role is for an IT Process Manager specializing in IT Service Management (ITSM) within the LWL.IT Service Department. The successful candidate will be instrumental in conceptualizing, implementing, analyzing, and continuously improving central IT service management processes. Key responsibilities include defining and evaluating process and performance indicators, supporting the adoption of ITIL 4 practices, and developing scripts and tools for automation. The position requires a foundational understanding of IT infrastructures, software development, and ITSM platforms, along with technical skills in ITSM tools, data modeling, and scripting languages. A strong service orientation and customer focus are essential, alongside an independent, analytical, and results-driven approach. This is a permanent part-time position (20 hours/week), offering a stable environment within an institution dedicated to cultural and social well-being in Westphalia-Lippe.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics, or a comparable field. Alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker), IT Management Assistant (Informatikkaufmann), or IT Systems Electronics Technician (IT-Systemelektroniker), or comparable long-term professional experience in the specified task areas.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT process management or related IT fields
  • Experience with ITSM tools and workflow implementation

  • Experience in leading or participating in working and project groups
