Job Summary

The City of Essen is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join the IT and Digitalization team at the Public Library. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical maintenance, installation, and configuration of hardware and software across the central library and 16 district branches. Your day-to-day tasks include supporting staff workstations, managing library-specific hardware such as RFID systems, gaming consoles, 3D printers, and digital signage, as well as handling user management and inventory tracking. You will also provide technical support for events and manage access control systems. This position is ideal for a service-oriented IT professional who enjoys working in a dynamic public-facing environment. You must possess a relevant IT vocational qualification and demonstrate a strong understanding of technical systems.
