Job Summary

The City of Neckarsulm is seeking an IT System Administrator to join their ICT team, focused on driving digital transformation across municipal departments. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of the city's data center, including on-premise and cloud infrastructure, virtualization environments, and server hardware. You will manage complex network landscapes (WAN, LAN, VPN) and ensure robust security via firewalls and traffic analysis. Additionally, you will oversee identity and access management (Active Directory, SSO), support telecommunications and VoIP systems, and provide 2nd-level support for infrastructure services. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the digital future of a municipal administration while working in a collaborative, stable environment within the public sector. You will be instrumental in maintaining the operational integrity of approximately 750 workstations while supporting innovative digitalization projects from initial concept to final implementation.
