Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the independent planning of complex infrastructure projects within the signaling and safety sector, covering HOAI phases 1–7. Your daily tasks include designing conventional and electronic interlocking systems, signal installations, and level crossing technology, as well as managing complex planning documentation and tender processes. You will act as a central coordinator, facilitating communication between internal teams, external engineering firms, and regulatory authorities to ensure projects meet strict quality, cost, and timeline requirements. You will also provide technical guidance to team members, fostering knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in electrical or telecommunications engineering, deep knowledge of railway-specific standards and regulations, and experience in HOAI-based project calculation. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a comparable qualification with relevant long-term professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical or telecommunications engineering
  • Experience in the calculation of planning services according to HOAI
  • Proven knowledge of relevant DIN standards, railway regulations, and Federal Railway Authority (EBA) ordinances
  • Experience in technical project coordination and stakeholder management
