Job Summary

As a Commissioning and Maintenance Technician at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a vital role in the lifecycle of industrial technical equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the commissioning and maintenance of complex systems, performing error analysis, and executing repairs on large-scale equipment. You will act as a key technical support contact during on-site customer training sessions, coordinate external contractors, and participate in final system acceptance testing with clients. This role requires a strong background in electrical or electronic engineering and a solid understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with high-tech industry clients across diverse projects. You will need to be comfortable with significant travel, as the role involves approximately 50% national and international mobility. Successful candidates will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills in both German and English, ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective project coordination within a professional engineering environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in commissioning and maintenance of technical equipment
