Job Summary

The Institute of Experimental Physics at TU Bergakademie Freiberg is seeking a Research Associate to contribute to a third-party funded project focusing on battery research. In this role, you will be responsible for the synthesis of electrolyte mixtures and cathode pastes, as well as the manufacturing of anodes and cathodes for aluminum-polymer battery cells using various coating techniques. Your day-to-day work will involve operating within inert gas environments, such as argon gloveboxes, and assembling test cells to conduct electrochemical characterization, including cyclization and impedance spectroscopy. Beyond laboratory work, you will manage synthesis and characterization equipment, analyze research data, and publish scientific findings. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with external research institutions and industry partners while contributing to sustainable energy research. Candidates should hold a university Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Applied Natural Sciences and possess strong communication skills in both German and English.
