Job Summary

This role involves hands-on engineering work within a research project focused on sustainable resource management. You will be responsible for the chemical-physical characterization of water samples, preparing and testing concrete samples according to industry standards for their physical properties, and setting up and operating a pilot-scale flow test rig. The position also includes conducting field tests and documenting results. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Building Chemistry, coupled with practical experience in setting up and operating laboratory and pilot plants, and in determining building physical properties. Strong initiative, self-organization, teamwork, and resilience are essential, as is a passion for developing innovative, sustainable building materials. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (30 hours/week) with potential for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

Diploma or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Building Chemistry

Experience

  • Experience in setting up and operating laboratory and pilot plants
  • Experience in the field of norm-compliant determination of building physical properties
  • Professional experience in chemical-physical characterization of waters
  • Professional experience in the preparation and characterization of concrete test specimens
