Job Summary

The Institute for Human Genetics is seeking a Bioinformatics Specialist to join their team in a full-time, two-year fixed-term capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and administration of the IT infrastructure for the GEPADO patient management system. You will also develop and operate tools for processing NGS and patient data, maintain NGS pipelines, and manage interfaces with the LIMS. The position involves providing critical IT and bioinformatics support to the Institute for Human Genetics and the Department of Clinical Genetics. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Bioinformatics or a related technical field, combined with professional experience in DevOps or bioinformatics roles. You should have strong expertise in Linux environments, containerization, and virtualization, along with programming proficiency in languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
