Job Summary
As a Development Engineer for Restraint Systems, you will play a pivotal role in managing the component development lifecycle for automotive safety systems. Your daily responsibilities include steering component development, collaborating on the creation of specifications in compliance with current legal standards and internal requirements, and managing the tendering process for components. You will act as a technical lead for suppliers, ensuring effective communication and coordination, while also maintaining test specifications and overseeing external engineering service providers. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Vehicle Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical/business degree.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development of restraint systems or automotive components
- Experience in the testing, commissioning, and validation of electronic vehicle systems and components is preferred
Languages
Additional
- Valid work permit for Germany is required. Role is based on an indefinite contract under a company-specific collective bargaining agreement (ver.di).
