This role involves working within the Office for Building Law and Environment (Water Authority) to ensure sustainable water management and groundwater protection. Day-to-day, you will provide technical assessments for groundwater extraction, discharge, and geothermal energy systems, such as heat pumps and probes. You will also handle aid processing for municipal water supplies, monitor funded measures, and participate in water inspections alongside the health department. A unique aspect of this position is the responsibility for emergency response, including on-call duties for accidents involving water-polluting substances. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Water Management, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Management, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in water management, water supply, or groundwater protection
  • Experience in creating technical statements and assessments for administrative procedures
  • Experience or willingness to work with technical regulations, DIN standards, and administrative guidelines
  • Experience in supervising funded environmental or technical measures
  • Experience in public sector consulting or municipal advisory is beneficial
