Job Summary

This role involves managing and optimizing energy consumption for the District of Konstanz's real estate portfolio, including schools, sports halls, and administrative buildings. As an Energy Management Officer, you will be responsible for developing a strategy to achieve climate neutrality and expanding the existing energy management systems. Your day-to-day tasks include collecting and controlling energy data for heat, electricity, and water, and producing annual energy reports for governing committees. You will play a key role in the energy team, overseeing the operation of photovoltaic systems and exploring new technologies like battery storage. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and sensitizing building users on energy efficiency. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Engineering) in Energy, Supply, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation of technical building systems and building automation
  • Practical experience in establishing and operating energy management systems according to DIN 50001
  • Experience in project management and professional networking is preferred
  • Proven experience in energy data collection and reporting
