As a Policy Advisor within the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), you will spearhead the 'Efficient Enforcement' competence center. This pivotal role involves the operational and technical management of AI-driven digital transformation projects within the environmental sector. You will coordinate with various federal agencies to identify digitalization potentials, oversee the implementation of IT solutions, and ensure synergy across different departments. Your day-to-day will involve program management, providing technical guidance to the AI Lab at the Federal Environment Agency, and representing the ministry in national and state-level committees. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the sustainable and resource-efficient use of AI in public administration, contributing directly to state modernization and environmental protection. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Natural Sciences (preferably Physics) with excellent academic results.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in managing AI projects within a top-level federal authority
  • Professional experience in technical supervision for IT/AI project implementation in government agencies
  • Proven experience in program and project management specifically for public administration (e.g., PMflex)
  • Experience in evaluating technological developments and supporting research projects in the AI sector
