Job Summary

This role is based within the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUKN) in the 'Efficient Enforcement' competence center. You will act as a central interface for data management, focusing on the digitalization of administrative enforcement tasks and the integration of AI applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing data requirements, coordinating technical data management (including metadata and data flows), and establishing data governance frameworks. You will also manage ETL-based data integration and lead digital projects to increase efficiency within the environmental sector. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainable digital transformation who enjoy working at the intersection of environmental science and information technology. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in data collection, management, and processing
  • In-depth work experience with environmental and geoinformation systems
  • Experience in IT requirements management, specifically with database and API structures
  • Experience in (co-)project management and steering service providers
  • Professional experience within a federal or state authority is preferred
  • Experience with agile methodologies in a public administration context
