Job Summary

As an IT Systems Manager at the Nuremberg Institute of Technology, you will be responsible for managing the 'MyOhm' Digital Workplace, a central IT platform that integrates essential processes, applications, and internal communications for university staff. Working within the Central IT team and collaborating with the Digital Transformation Office, your daily activities will focus on managing the Intrexx platform, application servers, and other core IT systems. You will implement configuration and lifecycle management using DevOps infrastructure, provide technical second-level support, and coordinate with external service providers to ensure efficient system development. This part-time (50%) position offers a stable, permanent contract within a modern academic environment. It is an ideal role for professionals who enjoy a mix of hands-on Linux administration, automation, and collaborative problem-solving. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field; alternatively, equivalent skills acquired through several years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Linux server administration within virtualized environments
  • Experience with database-driven web applications and web services
  • Proven experience in IT automation and DevOps workflows
  • Several years of relevant professional experience required if no formal degree is held
  • Experience in scaling web applications for large organizational structures preferred
