Job Summary

This role involves working for Germany's foreign intelligence service (BND) in Rheinhausen, focusing on technical signal intelligence and procurement. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of technical information gathering, which includes capturing and processing signals, collecting provider and route information, and implementing specialized collection systems. Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring systems, testing collection setups, and performing technical modifications or programming updates to collection components. The position is unique as it offers a career in the federal civil service (TVöD E 10) with significant security responsibilities. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Engineering (with engineering focus), Mathematics, or Physics. Candidates graduating within the next 12 months are also eligible.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical signal acquisition or processing
  • Experience in programming and software modification (C, C#, or Java)
  • Experience in project monitoring and reporting
  • Proven ability in conceptual and analytical work
  • Experience working with complex IT and technical collection systems

Additional
